This product leans due to the back not being 1 whole piece. We received a lot of books at our baby shower we liked the way this looked but it leans forward on the top so definitely use the wall mounts to prevent it from falling.

IMPORTANT TIP: All The D boards need the holes on sides in same direction so last long board can be affixed. Had to drill my own holes many places to finish. Color Stain OK. More finish choices would improve how it blends into decor. Works.

This is an absolutely amazing bookshelf! I just wish some of the shelves were longer to fit longer books, at least at the bottom. Also on the very bottom, one more shelf on the right coming up could have for. This is just personal preference. The shelf is really nice!!!

It was easy enough to assemble, the instructions were simple enough to figure out… however, two crucial hardware pieces that were provided were too short to use.On the last step of assembling (which is connecting the shelves to the bottom base… the piece that allows the whole unit to stand up right) I came to find out that the two screws which are provided were not long enough, so they kept popping out. I found two replacements of my own that were the right length, so it all worked out in the end.Point being though, obviously, is that it shouldn’t have come to that…That one detail aside, it’s assembled, it’s sturdy and looks great.

Once again it looks really good but however the screws are easily stripped. Good thing is hidden, because I couldn’t screw all the way in.

Love the look of this shelf. However, once you get books of any weight on the shelves it tends to lean away from the wall. Comes with an attachment to secure to the wall, but not a fan of putting holes in the wall for a floor furniture piece. Especially since this particular piece doesn't really have much of a back on it.

This one was my least favourite to put together out of the 3 I got so I didn't bother correcting it. It still looks fine, but you need to pay attention to the direction of the pieces. It can be a little confusing.That said, this line of furniture is generally pretty simple to put together. As mentioned, you just need to pay attention when building. Overall, I do like this company's products and I think it's good value for your money.

A few minutes after I assembled the bookshelf, a book fell on my foot. My foot was throbbing. I’m not returning it because it took much longer to assemble than expected and it looks nice. I placed my heaviest books at the base of the shelf to keep the whole structure from tipping over.

if you don’t have a drill, manually screwing in each screw is an absolute pain. Like other reviews said, the shelf leans forwards and NEEDS to be anchored into the wall or it will fall over with books on it. If I knew how unstable it was, I probably wouldn’t have bought it… but it still looks so cool!

I'd buy this product again. I say this because I've purchased a power drill which you'll need for easy assembly. Screw heads are easily 'chewed up and drilled holes do not seem to be deep enough. Now that I'm aware of this, I'd buy this product again. Good value for the money as well as 'look'.

I really like the concept of this product as it’s sleek, holds several books, and is mostly simple to assemble. However, the predrilled holes were on the wrong side of backing boards A&B. This forced the metal supports to be on the front side, therefore an eyesore. Couldn’t mount the other direction because the holes wouldn’t line up to attach. Due to the difficulty to disassemble, return, exchange, reassemble, etc. I’ll keep it. Very disappointed.

I assembled it myself with a drill and a screwdriver, only took about two hours. I really like the bookcase but almost every board came with a scratch. Also, I, unfortunately, assembled the one with the largest scratch at the top of the structure but otherwise, I would recommend it. I could always color it in with brown sharpie later but just a heads up.
